Hong Kong: 5 spots in Sheung Wan that you cannot miss

Having lived in Sheung Wan for 2.5 years, I’m totally biased but I do believe it’s one of the coolest neighbourhoods on the Hong Kong Island. A perfect blend of traditional Hong Kong lifestyle and western hip hangouts, Sheung Wan is one of the best areas to live & eat – and visit if you’re a tourist!

Here are my top 5 favourite spots that you cannot miss if you visit the area:

Hollywood Road
A quiet street that has it all: beautiful antique stores, cafes, restaurants and trendy boutiques

Hollywood Road

Cat Street
Perfect place to grab souvenirs. Stalls carry vintage postcards, Chinese style ornaments, necklaces and more!

Cat Street 2

Tai Ping Shan
A hidden gem in Hong Kong, this short street houses art galleries, decor shops and cafes.

Tai Ping Shan

Man Mo Temple
The oldest temple on Hong Kong Island. The giant incense coils, colourful deities and altars make it a really special place.

Sun Yat Sen Park
Situated right next to the harbour, this is where you can go for picnic or enjoy a sundowner on weekends.
