Things to do in Quarry Bay (+ some Insta-worthy spots you don’t want to miss!)

Recently I spent a whole afternoon in Quarry Bay, one of the most underrated neighbourhoods (in my opinion). If you’re a tourist, Quarry Bay won’t probably be on top of your list, but it is actually one of the most interesting places as it is an ultimate blend of modern and traditional, urban cool and gritty Hong Kong. Below are some my favourite spots in Quarry Bay. Whether you go on your own, on a date, or with friends, you’ll have fun…

I don’t know about you, but I love watching Monthly Favorites Youtube videos (YouTube is my guilty pleasure… who’s with me?) Monthly favorites are great because you get to know about lots of products, books, brands that otherwise you would have no idea about. Sharing is caring, so I thought I’d put together some of the items I’ve been loving this month. Hope you find these inspiring in some way! I’ve been obsessed with this red open shoulder top from…

A Photowalk in Haji Lane (Singapore)

Greetings from Singapore! I’m back in this beautiful city for a short solo business trip. My hotel is in the heart of Kampong Glam, an area that has become a hipster hangout full of little cafes and boutiques. Every morning before heading to the office, I decided to go on random photowalks with my DSLR – it is a form of meditation for me and it forces me to pay attention to the little details. There’s so much beauty around us, if only…

Chiang Mai Travel Guide

After many years on my wish list, I finally got a chance to visit Chiang Mai. We did not plan much except one day trip to the famous Sticky Waterfalls. It was a very much spontaneous trip but still managed to see and do a lot. Here’s a quick guide and recommendations around the city! See Sticky Waterfalls – This was one of the coolest experiences of the trip. We hired a driver to take us to Bua Tong, which is…

Coconut oil as an eye make up remover

Today I wanna talk about one of my favourite things on earth, ever: Coconut Oil! I even attempted to start a blog to talk exclusively about coconut oil a few years ago – it was called sheiscoconuts.com (true story). Obviously that did not last long because well, I eventually ran out of things to write about it. BUT my love for it has not changed and I continue to spread the word about it at every opportunity. I know that by now a…

Cafe Kitsune (Tokyo)

While walking around Minami Aoyama during my last Tokyo trip, I stumbled upon Cafe Kitsune. I had seen pictures all over Instagram of the Parisian Cafe Kitsune and was so pleasantly surprised that there was one in Tokyo too. I had to go inside and try their coffee! The shop front is so photogenic. Try passing by it without taking a few pictures for your Instagram – impossible. The outside seating area features bamboo panels that give the space an airy…

Chiang Mai Haul (Beauty Edition)

One thing I look forward to every time I visit Thailand is stocking up on natural products. They are one-of-a-kind (you can’t find them anywhere else) and oh so cheap! When I go to these shops I’m like a kid in a toy store, touching and smelling every single item on the shelves. Every time we bumped into one of these shops, my husband would pull out his phone and sit down because he knew it would be a long one…
